A Fine Arts Extravaganza!

Ukulele & Drums Instructor: Wilson Marks

Ages: Rising 3rd-5th Grades

Your kiddo will LOVE this camp, centered around high quality visual art projects and learning (or progressing on) the ukulele!

Join Jamie Pettit and Wilson Marks for an art and music extravaganza! Jamie and Wilson are TX certified art and music teachers with years of high-quality fine arts education experience to draw from. Jamie will lead projects that explore a variety of art media, including clay. Wilson will be teaching the ukulele (an instrument can be provided and lent out during the duration of the camp) in addition to exploring drums and percussion instruments. No prior art or music experience is needed and there will be several breaks throughout the day to get wiggles out and have some social time. You'll be blown away by the art the kids create and the songs they can play on the ukulele by the end of the week!

Please bring/wear the following each day:

• a reusable water bottle
• two healthy snacks (please no candy/sweets)
• a sack lunch
• wear art-friendly clothes (we also have art t-shirts available)
• wear socks and sneakers that fully cover the feet for walks to the creek
• kiddos that play the ukulele are invited to bring it to camp this week

Like all of the classes we offer, we keep the student-teacher ratio super low and this allows us to dive deep into our subjects, to curate a peaceful and enriching learning environment, and to take our knowledge of the subjects we're learning to the next level. We aim to offer the kind of summer camps we wish we could have attended when we were kids, where the experiences and the learning take center stage in a micro class that doesn't feel overwhelming.
