Ages: Rising 5th-7th Grades

This camp is the ultimate for tweens who love hands-on creative experiences! Students will spend mornings with Jennifer Ober, a TX certified art teacher and founding member of projectART. Jennifer will lead projects that explore a variety of media, including printmaking and ceramics. Pearly Rihn, a super talented Wimberley fashion designer with a degree in costume design, will take over each afternoon. She plans to teach the students fabric dying techniques and then have them use their hand-dyed fabrics to design and create original textile creations. This camp will be rad.

Please bring/wear the following each day:

• a reusable water bottle
• two healthy snacks & a sack lunch (please no candy/sweets)
• wear art-friendly clothes (we also have art t-shirts available, but staining is possible)
• wear socks and sneakers that fully cover the feet for walks to the creek

What makes ARTSPACE camps unique? Like all of the classes we offer, we keep the student-teacher ratio super low and this allows us to dive deep into our subjects, to curate a peaceful and enriching learning environment, and to take our knowledge of the subjects we're learning to the next level. We aim to offer the kind of summer camps we wish we could have attended when we were kids, where the experiences and the learning take center stage in a micro class that doesn't feel overwhelming.
