Ages: Rising 4th-6th Grades

Art and science are two subjects that naturally encourage fun, hands-on learning! Join Jacobs Well Elementary Teachers Jarae Porter and Mary Grace Barbee for an art and science-filled week to remember! Jarae and Mary Grace are TX certified teachers with years of high-quality fine arts education experience to draw from. Mary Grace will lead projects that explore a variety of art media, including clay, while Jarae will lead a SUMMER themed Science camp, where students will explore all things summer- sun, water, sand, and more! Expect some fun collaborations between these two instructors, too. Your kiddos will not want this week to end!

Please bring/wear the following each day:

• a reusable water bottle
• two healthy snacks & a sack lunch (please no candy/sweets)
• wear art-friendly clothes (we also have art t-shirts available)
• wear socks and sneakers that fully cover the feet for walks to the creek

What makes ARTSPACE camps unique? Like all of the classes we offer, we keep the student-teacher ratio super low and this allows us to dive deep into our subjects, to curate a peaceful and enriching learning environment, and to take our knowledge of the subjects we're learning to the next level. We aim to offer the kind of summer camps we wish we could have attended when we were kids, where the experiences and the learning take center stage in a micro class that doesn't feel overwhelming.
