Middle School Art

Instructor: Katie Gardner

Ages: 6th-10th Grades

Middle School Art is focused on guiding students through a wide range of art concepts and materials. Primarily focused on two-dimensional techniques, students will expand on existing skills, build confidence, and explore new ideas over the course of 6 class periods. Projects are specifically designed to accommodate students of all skill levels and can be adjusted accordingly to meet each student's specific needs.

Katie Gardner is a professional artist with over 15 years teaching experience. She currently teaches art at KAPS and is a regular ARTSPACE instructor. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Art History and a Masters of Education from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago.

Please bring a water bottle and a healthy snack and wear art-friendly clothes (art t-shirts available as well).

Please note that all courses require a minimum of 5 enrolled students to proceed.
