Adult Cyanotype on Fabric Workshop

Ages: Adult, 16+

Cyanotype is a nearly 200 year old alternative photographic printmaking technique where contact prints are made by exposing UV reactive chemicals to sunlight. The resulting images capture light and shadow in a beautiful array of blue and white tones. Cyanotype printing is a safe and exciting way to play with botanicals and found objects to create one of a kind works of art.

In this workshop, students will have the opportunity to experiment with cyanotype techniques on fabric and watercolor paper. Prepared fabric swatches will be provided but students are welcome and encouraged to bring a small personal item to prepare in class and take home for printing. Each registration includes the instruction and materials needed to create multiple cyanotype prints. All levels welcome.

Nicole Groleau is a professional artist and founder of Bleuprint a cyanotype studio.

Please note that all courses require a minimum of 5 enrolled students to proceed.
